Greg Ronaldson’s affinity for poker started out as a hobby and soon grew into a profitable profession. He is well known among poker circles for cashing over R2 million ($300 000) in 9 months of tournament play in 2007.

His results included top 5 finishes at the SA Poker Open, Rumble in the Jungle, Sun City Millions and of course 3 consecutive final tables at the All Africa Poker Tournament (AAPT). His crowning achievement was winning the AAPT in November 2007, confirming his already established reputation as one of Africa’s top players.

These winnings enabled Greg to invest in two business ventures and he decided to withdraw from poker during 2008 and early 2009 in order to focus on ensuring their success. Since then, he has returned to his passion and has travelled to Europe, Asia and the United States in search of bigger cash games and tournaments.

Consistency is a term that has often been used to describe Ronaldson’s playing style and he rarely misses a final table when going deep in a tournament. Even after achieving so much, Ronaldson’s aspiration and dream is to win a World Series bracelet and be recognised on the world stage as one of the best.
