João Barbosa is the first Portuguese to be
part of Full Tilt's famous roster of poker players including several superstars,
e.g. Phil Ivey, Gus Hansen, Howard Lederer, Michael Tureniec, Soren Kongsgaard
to mention a few.
João Barbosa is represented by the poker agency â Poker
Icons.
The contract means that Barbosa will be
representing Full Tilt Poker at larger competitions and he is now also one of
the awarded players with his own avatar that plays with his real name at Full
Tilt.
When João
Barbosa, who is an educated computer engineer, participated in the EPT
tournament in Warsaw last November, it was his fourth EPT event and the third in
which he finished âin the moneyâ. The final table was played on his 26 year
birthday, and a better present than a first price was nothing he could have
wished for. The success is now complete with one of the best poker sponsor deals
in the world.
