Stefan was born on 16/10/1979 in Kiruna, Sweden. He stated playing poker when he was just a little kid. He has been playing competitively for over 9 years and although he considers himself primarily as a cash game player he has notched up over $1.3 million in major tournaments winnings.
Stefan is a familiar figure on the European Poker Tour circuit and has cashed several times, including a cash in the EPT Barcelona 2007 for $17,000 and a 3rd place cash in the EPT Prague main event, taking home $382,160. he has also cashed in the WSOP Pot Limit OMaha main event taking $118,462 and furthermore back in 2008 came 2nd in the €5,000 WPT Spanish Championship, taking a cool $342,989.
Stefan has also managed to come in the money 3 years in a row in the WSOP main even, finishing 57th in 2006, 22nd in 2007 and 277th in 2008.
Stefan now lives in Stockholm but grew up in Kiruna in Lappland, Sweden's northernmost city, some 145 km above the Arctic circle.
