Jamie Gold signs with Poker Icons
Press release 05.11.2009 37th Annual World Series of Poker Champion Jamie Gold has joined the rapidly growing agency Poker Icons. Already representing some of the most successful poker players in the industry, Poker Icons are thrilled about the newfound partnership with the World Champion.
Since his glorious triumph in 2006, the showbiz whiz kid Jamie Gold has been a huge name in the poker press, TV shows and on the live poker scene all around the globe. Jamie was a well known talent agent long before he won the $12 million, and now he has teamed up with one of the largest poker agencies in the world. Sean Fredericks will continue working as his personal manager. "I’m very excited about joining Poker Icons. Their international presence and expertise in poker makes this relationship fit perfectly. I’m really looking forward to this partnership.” says Gold. Jamie has always taken an active interest in charity work, and his background and experience with show business has made him the perfect host in several charity events, for example the Sunflower Children Charity Poker Tournament. This year, as his first event teamed up with Poker Icons, he will be taking his involvement with the Sunflower Children one step further. At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, the Wilhelm & Karl Maybach Foundation and the Sunflower Children Foundation will join forces to host this celebrity poker night to raise money for their charitable projects, and Jamie Gold will be the main attraction. On May 17 this charity poker tournament, sponsored by Everest Poker, will fill up with famous politicians, actors, sport stars and businessmen, and the lucky winner will not only get a ticket to Vegas and the World Series, but also get private and personal coaching from Jamie.
