they announced that they have opened offices in London and Macau, in
addition to having representation in the eastern part of Europe. This
is to serve it’s ever growing list of top players and partners from
all over the world and Increasing their coverage from 13 to 14
offices worldwide, the UK office represents a milestone for the
overall expansion strategy.
Per
Hagen, Poker Icons President, passes comment about the UK office;
“I’m seriously
excited about the opening of our UK office. Poker in the US has
clearly seen substantial growth and has only recently shown signs of
plateauing. We predict that Poker in the UK is about to experience a
rapid explosion; we are now in a position to provide support thanks
to the opening of our UK office.”
Per
also explains that Poker Icons plan on piloting a new initiative in
the UK;
“What we do
best is arrange sponsorship packages for talented players due to the
unique and special relationships we have with the online poker rooms.
We have however recognized a need to provide additional support to
new and existing players such as media training, legal support,
financial advice, VIP perks and even career advice. Poker Icons UK
will be the first to provide these additional services and if the
pilot is successful then we will roll these services out worldwide.”
The UK
President for Poker Icons is Glen Richardson, a British Entrepreneur
with a business portfolio that includes Technology, Media,
Promotions, Motorsport and now Poker. Glen has extensive experience
in starting businesses, managing exceptionally talented individuals
and negotiating high level deals. Glen developed a passion for Poker
in 2006 and plays regularly with other like-minded Entrepreneurs in
private tournaments and cash games. In 2008 he set about researching
the Poker industry to see if he could turn his 'hobby' into a
business, much like he did for his business 'Auteg Motorsport'. He
found there was a lack of support for British Professional Poker
Players and new talent. He therefore partnered with Poker Icons to
establish their UK office due to their success and reputation in the
European market.

Chris
Edwards is the UK Principal Poker Agent for Poker Icons UK. Chris
started his career in the Music Industry until he found Poker in 2006
and switched careers. Chris has now worked in the Poker industry in
various forms including Tournament Director for a national Poker
League and a Journalist for Betfair. It's safe to say that Chris
'always' has Poker on his mind, he is truly dedicated to the game.
Not only does he read a plethora of blogs and forums every day but
never misses an episode of all the popular Poker programming. Chris
pro-actively scouts for new players online, live and at major
tournaments. Outside of work Chris loves playing poker too and
recently took 3rd place at the APAT World Amateur Razz Championships
and 7th place at the London Poker Masters HORSE Warmup. For Chris
this is now his long-term career path,

to say I’m a poker addict and this Job is a dream come true for
me.”
Dave Sito
will be running the Asian Poker Icons office from Singapore and
Macau, and he will be in charge of signing the talents and serving
partners in the rapidly growing market of Asia. Poker Icons have
already signed some of the top Asian players and made some great
progress.
In addition Poker Icons have also now got
representation in the eastern part of Europe where they also have
signed some high profiled players.
